In light of the volume of applications we are receiving, can we ask that members refrain from responding to applications and leave it to the officers to respond as ultimately we are responsible for approving or rejecting applications. If people start putting replies on here without consulting the officers potential applicants may get the wrong idea about how their application is progressing.

I had just sent an email round to my staff about following procedures atc at work before hand so I guess i was in that frame of mind :wink:

I think it is usefull to hear that members actually know some applicants, and can recommend them. Conversely, they might think they are n00bs :)

What I was getting at is that people take it upon themselves saying 'Rigante is great (which it is) im sure you will get in' without speaking to anyone, sure put on i know this person and can vouch that they are great.

Its just when people start saying they can probably join when they are in no position to do so.

Im just trying to keep the process efficient when it seems there are lot at the moment.
