MAJOR UNI MESS UP!!!!!!11

just found out that my plan to change course has been scuppered due to the there being no places and the git incharge of the course saying that i never tried to contact him dispite my mum being next to me when i left a msg on his answer phone.

Then i get a phone call from my dad telling me that ive been kicked out of uni for not turning up for restits dispite me telling my tutor that i didnt want to continue with the course.
(all this was told to me yesterday, 2 days before registration)

Ive tried De Montford Uni but they said all their business courses are full.

My Dad is atm calling up uni going mad at them trying to get them to help me sort this all out. Meanwhile im looking for other courses that dont have stupidly high A-lvl requests this year cos a silly no of people applied to leicester.

All in all these have been the worst 2 days of my life ever.
Might be back in Mansfield by Monday trying to work out what the hell im going to do (still have to pay rent for my flat).

Also bulldog broadband are being gay and not sending me an installation disk so i cant use all the new wireless equipment that i bought and now im stuck with.

Give lots of sympathy.!!!

Seriously though, if you say you tried to contact someone about changing course (which would have enabled you to change course no problem) and he says you didn't, whether you have a witness or not (i.e. your mum) you should be in the right as you should be counted as a paying customer (as you pay for/contribute towards University fees). The University should fix this balls up and you shouldn't have to go to another Uni or anything daft like that.

I really hope this works out ok for you, and that you're all sorted asap.

excellent idea we all buy lots of full plate mail and shields and we walk over there banging on our shields making our selves heared muhahahaha :( sorry back on subject. Sorry to hear mate you obviously in the right....you should get off the fone and talk to someone at the uni in person people find it easier to wriggle out of these things over the fone.

Similar thing happened to me m8 when i first went to Uni. They fucked my grades up and instead of the B D and N they gave me originally the N grade was changed to a B(long story) so i had my 2 B's and D to get into Cardiff. I missed freshers week in the first year and it only got sorted a few days before term actually started. Whenever i phoned Ucas they wouldn't speak to me until i got really aggresive on the phone and even then they were not much help. I was lucky my headmaster sorted it out in the end cos he was on some board.

Anyway my advice would be to get someone to fight your corner for you cos they don't give a shit about individuals. I don't know who...maybe the students Union or maybe a lecturer you got on well with.

Still no joy. Thought tried another department and they said they would ring me back today. Spent all day next to the phone only to find out they decided to email me yesterday so ive wasted a full day that i could have been trying other departments.

Think im gonna have to get a job and defer for a year.

On the upsite ive got the 1mb connection sorted but 1 of my m8s already messed up his pc looking at porn.
